About the job
The Building Construction Department is responsible for all cantonal buildings and facilities, for the coordination of building applications, and for spatial planning issues. The development, provision, maintenance, and management of real estate is centrally handled by the Building Construction Department as a competence center.
We are looking for a
Project Manager Building Construction 50–100 %
for the client and owner representation, starting June 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with the workplace in Glarus. Job sharing is possible.
Tasks
- Creating maintenance plans (upkeep and repair) for the assigned properties
- Project development of new constructions and renovations of various sizes from needs assessment through feasibility studies to execution
- Handling maintenance projects
- Participation in budgeting and multi-year planning
- Planning and management of required facility services such as maintenance, groundskeeping, etc.
- Condition analysis and reporting of properties
Requirements
- Completed degree in architecture or related education
- Proven project management experience in construction
- Competencies in construction and real estate management
- Ability to solve problems independently and make decisions
- Good oral and written language skills
- Flexibility and enjoyment of varied work
- Presentation and consulting skills
