About Beyond Gravity
With our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, Beyond Gravity is redefining the space industry. We are not an ordinary space company but a unique fusion of agility, speed, and innovation. Our team of over 1700 experts at 13 locations in six countries combines a start-up mentality with decades of industry experience and a track record of 100% successful missions. We strive to push the boundaries of what is technically possible by not only developing key products for satellites and launch vehicles but also contributing to improving life on Earth.
Your Crew:
In our production team, you work with 32 experienced specialists on highly precise space components such as the payload fairings – protective covers that safely accompany satellites into space. This requires craftsmanship, technical sensitivity, and the highest precision.
In the Completion area, you are responsible for the final steps before launch: final assembly, inspection, and shipping preparation. As Team Lead Completion, you lead a dedicated team, ensure quality and deadlines – and pitch in yourself. Together, we make sure our products are ready for launch.
Your Mission:
- Technical leadership of the Completion team (approx. 4–7 employees)
- Planning, coordination, and monitoring of daily tasks in final processing, inspection, and packaging
- Ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and occupational safety in the Completion area
- Training, coaching, and development of your team members
- Close collaboration with logistics, engineering, quality management, and production planning
- Active participation in the further development of processes, standards, and workflows (Lean/5S)
- Hands-on mentality: You pitch in and are a role model in precision and responsibility
Your Story:
- Completed technical training (e.g., as a polymechanic or plant and apparatus builder) with subsequent further education and proven leadership experience
- Several years of professional experience in manufacturing or final assembly
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience in an international environment
- Comprehensive experience and solid knowledge in the space business
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Experience in risk management
- Good understanding of quality standards, operational excellence, and health and safety regulations. Good knowledge of the SAP system and MS Office applications
- Good English skills are an advantage
What We Offer:
- An international environment with a global mindset and high-tech products that will fly into space
- A highly specialized and motivated team with a lot of know-how in a unique industry
- We live a hands-on mentality and take improvement suggestions seriously
- Flexible and mobile working and at least 5 weeks of vacation with the possibility to buy additional days off
