The General Vocational School Zurich is the competence center for the professions of gastronomy and hospitality. In addition, it is responsible for the basic education of various other professions and also offers courses in the continuing education sector. With around 2200 learners and over 100 teachers in 17 different professions, it is one of the larger vocational schools in the canton of Zurich.
At the beginning of the spring semester 2026, a teaching position for vocational studies in the profession of hospitality-housekeeping EFZ is to be filled.
At the beginning of the autumn semester 2026/27, further lessons will be available. The appointments are made according to the regulations for secondary school and vocational school teachers as lecturers.
- You teach the subject vocational studies in the 1st year of apprenticeship in the areas EFZ, possibly also EBA.
- You actively participate in the development of joint digital and action competence-oriented teaching materials.
- You use digital tools (e.g., Moodle, WIGL) and innovative methods in teaching and collaborate in interdisciplinary teaching projects.
- You have a higher professional qualification (area manager hospitality-housekeeping FA, certified hotelier/gastronomist HF) and professional experience in the field of housekeeping
- completed training as a vocational studies teacher in a part-time capacity or willingness to complete this medium-term
- open-minded, team-oriented, communicative, and committed personality with high social skills
- independent, flexible working style with high initiative
- proficient use of IT tools
- advantage: English language diploma C1
- a committed faculty that supports each other
