The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. This position is part of NFS Muoniverse, a new Swiss National Research Priority (NFS) led by the Paul Scherrer Institute PSI and the University of Zurich. Muoniverse promotes muon research in the fields of particle physics, quantum materials, as well as applications ranging from energy research to cultural heritage.
The network brings together around 30 research teams from universities, research institutions, and museums across Switzerland, creating a unique platform for interdisciplinary collaboration.

For the new NFS Muoniverse, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Close collaboration in the establishment and organization of the Muoniverse Secretariat as well as ensuring smooth operations
- Development and implementation of efficient administrative processes for the NFS consortium
- You use your experience in finance and accounting to create budget forecasts and ensure regular internal and external reporting
- Management of Muoniverse membership and central contact person for all participants
- In the Muoniverse "Office Team" at PSI, you work closely with the Scientific and Organizational Coordinator, the NFS Directorate, and other staff in the areas of equality, communication and outreach, knowledge and technology transfer, as well as open science at PSI and the University of Zurich
Your profile
- Training as a commercial clerk or equivalent skills
- Experience in organization and administration as well as a structured and flexible working style
- Open, communicative personality with a strong goal and service orientation
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
- Additional experience or knowledge in areas such as equality, communication and outreach, knowledge and technology transfer, or open science are welcome
