Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis and Institutional Support
- Lead financial planning
cycles, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range plans, ensuring
alignment with GIHE’s strategic objectives
- Partner with
institutional leaders to analyze financial performance, monitor enrolment
and revenue trends, and recommend actions to optimize results
- Collaborate with the
central accounting team to ensure timely and compliant financial reporting
under Swiss, UK, and IFRS standards
- Prepare monthly
variance analyses, P&L forecasts, and business performance reports for
GIHE and Sommet Group management
- Support business cases
and capital expenditure proposals for campus developments, program
expansions, and strategic partnerships
- Oversee internal
controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy, transparency, and
regulatory compliance.
Provide financial input
for institutional accreditations and strategic board reporting
Student Accounting (billing & collection)
- Oversee all student
financial operations, including billing, scholarships, collections, and
refunds, ensuring accuracy and a positive stakeholder experience
- Monitor and report on
scholarships and discounts, advising leadership on financial impact and
optimization
- Supervise the Student
Accounting team and maintain effective collaboration with Student Services
and Registrar functions
- Ensure integrity of student financial data and lead
system improvements, including future SIS migration projects
Profile and experiences:
- Bachelor's degree from an academically rigorous institution in economics, finance, accounting or mathematics
- At least 7 years of accounting or finance experience
- Having worked in a Finance Planning and Analysis position and/or in a finance operation position for at least 3 years
- International environment experience, open to different cultures and mentalities
- Managerial experience in international environment with 1 branch approach
- Knowledge of the Education sector a plus
- Fluent in English and French
- Strong technical financial skills and knowledge of IFRS standards
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data, provide actionable insights, and influence strategic decisions
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities; able to engage, develop, and align teams to business priorities
- Excellent organizational and project-management skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency
- High level of energy, integrity, and professional drive, demonstrating resilience in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to translate financial data into clear, compelling narratives
- Skilled at building trust-based relationships
and collaborating effectively across cultures and functions
