About the job

The central parish of St. Maria zu Franziskanern is located in the old town of Lucerne. The medieval Franciscan church and the „Franziskanergärtli“ are historic landmarks of the city. The parish offers a diverse liturgical program used by people from the entire agglomeration. It places a special emphasis on church music.

With the neighborhood work (socioculture) of the parishes, the Catholic Church of the City of Lucerne contributes to livable neighborhoods. For this, it provides spatial, personnel, and sometimes financial resources. It maintains cooperation with the city and other partner organizations and actively participates in the development of innovative projects.

An engaged team works in the parish in the areas of pastoral care, neighborhood work, youth work, church music, secretariat, and infrastructure. In addition, around 140 volunteers are active in various associations, groups, and projects.

As a complement to our team, we are looking for a parish employee (40 – 50% workload) to start immediately or by arrangement.

What are your tasks:

• Organization and coordination of various family and children’s events (Samichlaus, carol singers, etc.)
• Assistance at other events in the parish and neighborhood
• Reporting in the parish newsletter
