Consultant and Teacher for the Forage Sector
Plantahof | 80-100% | Landquart
The Plantahof is a service of the Department of Public Economy and Social Affairs and is the competence center for agricultural training and consulting in the Canton of Graubünden. In addition to the basic vocational school in agriculture, Plantahof offers various continuing education cycles, professional development courses, and conferences and is responsible for comprehensive consulting and the transfer of specialist knowledge in favor of Graubünden and Glarus agricultural and alpine farms and other circles dealing with agricultural issues. For these purposes, it also operates its own agricultural and experimental farm at four different locations along with two farm shops. It also has a conference center with a dormitory, auditorium, and cafeteria.
To strengthen the plant production section in the consulting sector, we are looking for a consultant and teacher for the forage sector starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Specialist consulting in forage production
- Specialist consulting in management planning and SPB-QII II in summer grazing areas
- Specific teaching in basic training and advanced training cycles
- Organization of professional development activities in the forage sector
- Collaboration on plant production projects
- Networking with cantonal and national bodies and commissions
What we expect from you
- Degree (bachelor or master) in agronomy or equivalent training
- Professional experience and knowledge in the forage sector
- Experience in consulting and professional development
- Additional qualification as a teacher and consultant (additional studies in training and consulting) is an advantage
- Ability to work in a team, reliability, and openness
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- The working language is generally German. Knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
