About the job
The Union Event is the largest media outlet in its field in French-speaking Switzerland. We give a voice and a face to employees, denounce unscrupulous companies, and criticize unfair reforms. Our bi-monthly magazine is distributed in 48,000 copies to our members but is also accessible to a wider public through our website and via social networks that we are keen to develop. The Union Event is the French-speaking media of the Unia union.
We are looking for, starting May 1, 2026, or at a date to be agreed upon, a
Multimedia Journalist (80-100%)
You have good professional experience as a journalist in the field of print media, both on paper and in the digital domain. Media convergence represents for you a crucial issue and a challenge to be met with passion. You have an in-depth knowledge of the economic and political world of French-speaking Switzerland and Switzerland as a whole, and you are sensitive to social issues. You are a dynamic personality, endowed with a strong spirit of initiative. You are also committed and able to handle unforeseen situations. You are loyal and identify with Unia's values.
We expect
You have great writing skills, are able to make complex topics accessible, have a flair for good stories, and know how to inspire the desire to read. You are versatile and comfortable with multimedia communication. You know how to adapt your writing to the medium hosting your articles. Furthermore, you have the necessary knowledge of German to collaborate with your German-speaking colleagues.
