Senior Portfolio Manager Equity Selection – Specialist in global large-cap strategies with expertise in rule-based investing

We are looking for a Senior Equity Portfolio Manager with a strong analytical background, specialized in global large-cap stocks and high dividend yield stocks. The ideal candidate has experience in applying quantitative methods and rule-based investment approaches.

In this role, you are responsible for managing equity strategies with a focus on generating global equity investment ideas, managing existing equity positions, and actively making decisions regarding portfolio construction and tactical portfolio positioning:

Developing new equity investment proposals using bottom-up fundamental analyses, including monitoring existing positions and updating investment theses.

Managing existing equity positions and portfolios, weighting positions based on fundamental and quantitative analyses to optimize allocation and portfolio construction.

Active collaboration within portfolio management to shape the strategic and tactical orientation of equity investments, with a special focus on rule-based approaches.

Collaboration with the quantitative analysis team to improve equity selection, portfolio construction, and risk management processes.

University degree or equivalent qualification (additional certifications such as CIIA/CEFA or CFA are an advantage).

At least 5 years of professional experience in equity markets, either on the sell-side or in asset management.

Experience in equity portfolio management and equity selection is a must.

Experience in managing ESG-oriented portfolios is an advantage.

Strong background in fundamental equity analysis combined with experience in applying quantitative models and rule-based strategies.

Knowledge of Excel-based corporate finance models as well as familiarity with portfolio management applications (e.g., Avaloq, MSCI Barra) and market data applications (e.g., Bloomberg).

Strong interest in financial market topics, especially rule-based investment strategies and high dividend yield portfolios.

Ability to demonstrate persuasiveness and humility when evaluating investment proposals, both in accepting feedback and critically engaging with other team members.
