Head of Working Conditions Department
Office for Industry, Trade and Labor | 80 –100 % | Chur
The Office for Industry, Trade and Labor (KIGA) currently employs around 120 staff in six regions in the canton of Graubünden. In addition to public employment services (RAV), we organize labor market measures for job seekers and manage the cantonal unemployment fund. Furthermore, we carry out various tasks in the areas of labor market and occupational safety.
We are looking for a department head for the Working Conditions Department as part of a succession arrangement from April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Management of the Working Conditions Department in terms of personnel, organization, and expertise
- Implementation of the Flanking Measures (FlaM) or the provisions of the Posting Act (EntsG) to protect domestic workers, including ensuring target achievement
- Implementation of the Federal Act against Illegal Employment (BGSA)
- Labor market review within the framework of foreign nationals' permit procedures for third-country nationals
- Control and initiation of sanction procedures in the area of job posting obligations
What we expect from you
- Completed commercial or equivalent training with several years of professional experience, ideally with further training in the labor market field
- Knowledge of the legal and enforcement areas of the task field
- Experience in applying legal regulations in an administrative environment
- Good IT user skills (MS Office, specialized applications)
- Very good German skills as well as good knowledge of the Italian language
- Strong independence, resilience, and decisiveness
- Confident appearance and assertiveness in dealing with various stakeholders
- Willingness to perform field service assignments as part of control activities
- Leadership experience at team leader level (approx. 5 employees)
- High social competence, team orientation, and pronounced communication skills
