The opportunity
As the Tendering Team Leader Substation Automation, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of 16 technical tendering specialists based in Switzerland and India within Hub Europe. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, timely delivery, and competitiveness of all tenders. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Grid Automation SAS (Substation Automation Systems) Bid Management team, Sales specialists and SAS Operating Unit to drive our strategy and support business growth.
How you’ll make an impact
In this managerial role your main responsibilities include staffing, people development and managerial support to the team to ensure:

the creation of competitive, technically optimized, high-quality offers tailored to customer specifications.

Definition of the scope of supply and coordination with supply chain management to obtain quotations from subcontractors.

Oversee cost calculations and the full cost modeling process.

Manage the timely preparation and submission of bids and proposals.

Support the sales team during contract negotiations.

Preparation of documentation for internal reviews and tender submission approvals.
Your background

Proven leadership experience, ideally managing international and diverse teams.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Strong expertise in substation automation, control, and protection, with a solid understanding of grid automation.

In-depth knowledge of the grid automation market and tendering processes.

Excellent command of English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Willingness to travel internationally as required.
