The Agriculture Department implements the agricultural legislation of the federal government and the canton. Our goal is to create good framework conditions for a value-adding, sustainable agriculture and alpine farming.
We are looking for a
Agriculture Specialist 50–80%
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Processing applications for agricultural land law and agricultural lease law
- Assessment of building applications and plan approvals in the agricultural zone
- Participation in statements on consultations
- Participation in strategic issues and commission work
- Participation in cantonal and national projects
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master in Agronomy or Environmental Sciences with an affinity for administrative law or Bachelor/Master in Law with an interest in agriculture and agricultural policy
- Knowledge in the field of agricultural legislation (especially in lease and land law) as well as in spatial planning and building law
- Proficiency in written and spoken language
- Structured and independent way of working
- Flexibility, networked thinking, and solution-oriented action
- Integrative personality with high communication and presentation skills
