The Vocational Baccalaureate School Winterthur offers educational programs in the fields of Technology, Architecture and Life Sciences as well as Health and Social Affairs in the BM1 and BM2 models. Around 1,400 students are taught by approximately 90 teachers.

Your tasks
As a department head, you are jointly responsible for the management of the Vocational Baccalaureate School. Together with the other school management members, consisting of the principal, the vice principal, the deputy, and the school commission, you handle a variety of tasks. These include the pedagogical, personnel, and administrative leadership of the school as well as the organization and assurance of school operations and teaching.
Furthermore, you collaborate with the Office for Secondary and Vocational Education, participate in cantonal and federal committees, and are responsible for cooperation with partner schools and institutions.

Your profile
You have leadership experience in a comparable institution as well as a teaching diploma for baccalaureate schools, including vocational pedagogy, or an equivalent qualification. Furthermore, you can demonstrate several years of successful teaching experience in a subject of the vocational baccalaureate. Ideally, you have completed training for school management members or are willing to do so.
You are a communicative, team-oriented, and resilient personality who is ready to network and enjoys teaching. In addition, you have skill in dealing with young people, teachers, and staff.

Our offer
The employment is according to the cantonal secondary and vocational school teacher regulations and includes a teaching obligation of 10 lessons.
