The trainee program allows you to dive into three different departments and build up your know-how. Take responsibility in new projects every six months, bring innovative solution proposals, and collaborate with various teams.

The optimal start for your professional future! 💯 The traineeship starts on April 1, 2026, and is limited to 18 months with the option of permanent employment.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• You contribute with your technical know-how to secure electricity production and supply. 🔋
• You actively contribute to daily business and take responsibility in ongoing projects from day one.
• The first assignment takes place in the Construction department of the Networks Division. The team is responsible for the planning of network infrastructures from preliminary project to commissioning, which means for example:
• planning of outdoor switchgear and buildings for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS),
• planning of cable and overhead lines,
• structural calculations of new buildings and structural verification of existing facilities,
• procurement of construction services,
• further development of the sustainability strategy for performance construction. 🔌
• You can choose the second and third assignment according to your preferences within the Axpo Group (including our subsidiary CKW).

Profile & Requirements

• University degree 🎓 in civil engineering (degree obtained within the last two years)
• Strong interest in the field of energy transmission, distribution, and generation, the topic of energy transition, as well as sensitivity to sustainable development and climate change
• First professional experience as an intern or working student
• First experience in project management is an advantage
• Good analytical and networked thinking and interest in agile methods
• Fluent in German and English
