- Independent management of the children's group in consultation with the management/group leader/team according to the socio-pedagogical principles of the Kita and the requirements and guidelines of the KZU
- Ensuring age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate care and support of the children
- Planning and organizing the daily group routine
- Maintaining dialogue with parents and guardians, conducting development discussions
- Bringing in creative ideas
- Promoting and supporting apprentices in collaboration with the trainer
- Participating in intergenerational projects and parent events
- Completed basic training as a childcare specialist, early childhood educator, social pedagogue, or equivalent recognized pedagogical training with professional experience

The KZU, with its two in-house Kitas, operates two nursing centers in Bassersdorf and Embrach as well as three nursing apartments in Nürensdorf and Winkel. It primarily offers a home to elderly, care-dependent people and, in addition to various specialized services, a wide range of outpatient services. The KZU employs around 600 staff, including 75 apprentices and students in 17 different professional groups.
