Responsible for all Mortgage risk aspects of a portfolio of domestic and international private banking clients. Assess, analyse, structure, approve, As a Mortgage Officer, you will act as 2nd line of defense and be responsible for the underwriting and servicing of mortgage request. You will assess and evaluate mortgage loan application within own approval authority to determine creditworthiness and risk, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Your goal will be to act as sparring partner for the 1st line of defense (mainly Mortgage Advisors) and identify potential risk associated with mortgage applications and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate those risk.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Analyze Mortgage requests and provide feedback to the 1st line of defense

Ensure that all mortgage loans comply with banking regulations and legal requirements

Servicing / admin tasks of approved mortgage limits, incl. ongoing life-cycle mgmt. of active mortgage limits / mortgage products

Improve data quality of existing & future positions

Proactive support to improve the way we work, process & quality improvements, in particular the interface to the Mortgage Advisory teams

Build and maintain strong relationship with Mortgage Advisors, Julius Baer Real Estate Team and Relationship managers

YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or relevant working experience

5+ years of experience in mortgage lending, ideally gained in a private banking environment

Strong understanding of mortgage products and underwriting procedures

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards

Knowledge and experience in mortgage financing in the French-speaking Switzerland or Ticino is considered an important asset

Excellent language skills (verbal and written) in German and English; French a/o Italian is a strong plus
