The Genetic Medicine Service of the CHUV is looking for a biomedical analysis technician for its Constitutional Genetics Laboratory (LGE) at a 70% activity rate, to strengthen its team. The starting date is scheduled for May 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The LGE performs diagnostic services to detect constitutional cytogenomic abnormalities in the prenatal and postnatal fields (karyotype, FISH, arrayCGH) as well as for molecular genetic diseases caused by pathogenic variants or epigenetic modifications. The laboratory also offers genetic analyses by high-throughput sequencing (NGS), ranging from targeted analysis (clinical exome) to the whole exome. Development activities are carried out to apply new diagnostic techniques and continuously improve existing procedures.
The laboratory is accredited according to ISO 15189. Our team of technicians and biologists works directly with physicians from the genetic medicine service, other CHUV departments, and external applicants throughout Switzerland.
