With nearly 1,500 employees, the  Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics  (DRG) is a medical center focused on the elderly and is spread over 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour, and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.

Job Description

The position is aimed at a speech therapist who wishes to obtain the concordat number to practice with adults.

The Rehabilitation and Geriatrics Service at Bellerive Hospital offers an entry-level position for speech therapists wishing to specialize in acquired adult disorders.

The neurological rehabilitation unit cares for elderly patients hospitalized following a brain condition (vascular, traumatic, and others). Speech therapists provide personalized speech therapy evaluation and follow-up, both individual and group, for patients who may present aphasia, dysarthria, dysphonia, dysphagia, or communication disorders.

Speech therapists also participate in interdisciplinary rehabilitation meetings and work with teams and relatives.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in speech therapy and the right to practice in the canton of Geneva.

You have experience in speech therapy with various adult patient populations, neurological and geriatric, with knowledge in aphasiology, dysarthria, dysphonia, and dysphagia.

You do not yet meet the conditions to obtain a concordat number.

You are able to integrate into a multidisciplinary team and have good organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities.

You are a rigorous, methodical person with strong synthesis skills.
