The District Court Uster is looking for a second
Senior Court Clerk (100%)
starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement
Your main tasks
- Personnel responsibility for the legal office (personnel planning, recruitment, hiring, administration, etc.)
- Active participation in the implementation of important IT projects (e.g., Justitia 4.0, Transcribo, electronic court documents, forms system)
- Judicial administration (archiving, processing of file inspections, planning and organization of legal advice)
- Reporting to the Superior Court regarding your areas of responsibility as well as responsibility for compliance with the corresponding budget (annual report, etc.)
- Occasional legal case processing on behalf of the court presidency (currently presidential matters, collegial court as well as labor, rental, and lease court proceedings)
- Occasional assignments as a part-time substitute judge at the single court (appointment subject to the approval of the Superior Court's administrative commission)
- Organization of internal and external events (court excursion, Christmas dinner, authority meetings)
- Deputizing for your senior court clerk colleague in your areas (including media and public relations, management of the conciliation authority, handling urgent matters in accounting and commercial personnel, etc.)
Your profile
- Several years of experience as a court clerk, ideally at a Zurich district court and/or superior court
- Part of the next generation of leaders – as an aspiring personnel manager from the new generation of lawyers, you bring your corresponding understanding and expertise and enrich court management with fresh ideas and a clear, modern outlook
- Planning and organizational talent – you love to organize and plan carefully and proactively
- Independent, structured, and efficient working style – you have a precise and persistent work style and are also able to implement difficult or less popular projects equally purposefully
- Affinity for digitization and IT processes – handling modern technology comes easily to you and you enjoy using new IT systems yourself
- Communication talent – you have a confident presence and communicate thoughtfully, carefully, and appropriately to the situation
- Team orientation and resilience – you are a team player with a strong sense of the common good. You advocate fairness and compliance and keep a clear head even in intense phases and against resistance
