The Geneva Foundation for Socio-Cultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, socio-cultural, and associative field actions carried out by centers and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, and quality of life, with a general objective of preventing social exclusion.
A position for a 40% socio-cultural animator on a fixed-term contract is open within ARC, Association Rinia Contact.
Job Description
- Take responsibility for the free reception of pre-teens, teenagers, and young adults aged 12 to 25, in accordance with the association's institutional project,
- Participate in the development of associative life and promote intercultural exchanges, adhering to the association's values of tolerance and respect for differences,
- Be aligned with the objectives of integration, citizenship, prevention, and environmental awareness,
- Carry out tasks related to projects implemented by the association,
- Actively participate in the development of the activity program and the follow-up of the associative project in consultation with the team and the committee,
- Assume management tasks related to activities,
- Collaborate actively and regularly with social actors in the field.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level, or an equivalent university degree (education sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ethnology / State Diploma of Specialized Educator (DEES), State Higher Diploma of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DESJEPS),
- Proven experience in socio-cultural animation with different types of populations: teenagers, general public, interest in working in an open space with a multicultural population,
- Initiative, versatility, autonomy, creativity, ability to take responsibility,
- Ability to work independently while working in a team,
- Interest and sensitivity to discover various cultures and artistic genres within a small association,
- Ability and willingness to work within a multidisciplinary team in line with the institutional project objectives,
- Recognized skills in project conceptualization and management,
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe,
- Organizational and planning skills, while knowing how to manage priorities and emergencies,
- Ability to use common computer software; skills and mastery of current communication tools would be an additional asset.

- Availability, openness to flexible and irregular hours (activities on Friday evenings and weekends, during school holidays, including Christmas holidays)
- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15;
