As a key partner for the Toblerone & World Travel Retail Business Unit,theCorporate & Government AffairsManageris responsible forexternal and internal communicationsas well asthe government affairs agenda.
Based in Switzerland, the home and heart of Toblerone, this position is crucial for protecting and promoting the Swiss brand equity and value. This requires a solid working-level network in Switzerland with daily dialogue with the media, politicians, and stakeholders.
How you will contribute
In this role you will be part of the Toblerone& World Travel Retail(TWTR)Business Unitleadershipteam, contributing the perspective andexpertiseof Corporate Affairs to globalTWTRinitiatives. You will drive and lead the internal communication agenda for thebusiness unit, support external brand communication initiatives and,in particular leadand implement the government affairs agenda in Switzerland. You willact asa strategic advisor and liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and industry associations to strengthen the company's reputation and support its businessobjectives.
Globalresponsibilitiesinclude:
Co-lead global Brand Communications and PR with Marketing
Work with CGA teams in markets to coordinate Toblerone global PRactivities
Advise and support global social media channels of Toblerone, ensuring governance, crisismanagementand content approvalprocess
Support World Travel Retail team on communications,PRand social mediainitiatives
Collaborate with BU president/ leadership team with internal communications and teamengagement
Key responsibilities in Switzerland include:
Lead and manage the strategic Public Affairs agenda in Switzerland, including oversight of local agency activities andmonitoringthe media governmentallandscape
Represent Mondelez International at key industry bodies, to advance company interests andmaintainconstructive stakeholderrelationships
Lead and execute external communications with Swiss Media in collaboration with the local Marketingteam
Support Plant Bern in all communications and Public Affairsmatters
Whatyouwill bring
+7 years’ experience,preferablyin theFMCG/food & beverages’ area
Proven experience in Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, or Communications within an international,fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of the Swiss media and political landscape, with the ability to engage effectively with local stakeholders and industry associations
Preferably with solid relationships with media and political stakeholders in Switzerland
Demonstrated capability inleading strategic communications programs and managing externalagencies
Experience in global brand communication, social media management, and issues/crisis management
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions andgeographies
Strong organizational, project management, andproblem-solving skillswith attention to detail and execution excellence
Fluencyin English and German
