The district capital Dietikon is a vibrant regional center and an important economic location in the rapidly growing Limmattal. The fifth largest city in the canton of Zurich has around 28,000 inhabitants and counts over 3,000 students. The Dietikon school comprises six school units, each of which has a care facility. Meals for around 500 children and young people are prepared in a large kitchen and delivered to the care facilities.
We are looking for this responsible position from February 1, 2026, or by arrangement a
- Preparation of lunch menus for our students
- Collegial cooperation in the kitchen team (4 people)
- Proper and professional handling of food
- Preparation of baked goods
- Inventory and stock management
- Cleaning work and compliance with the hygiene concept
- Training as a cook EFZ
- Experience in a large kitchen, ideally with catering experience
- Good manners, balanced character, resilience
- Very high sense of responsibility
- Driver's license category B and private vehicle for short-term shopping
- A varied and diverse activity in a motivated team
- Independent work with high personal responsibility
- Progressive working conditions and training opportunities
- A well-equipped workplace with charm
- Working days Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri from 5:45 a.m. to approx. 1:20 p.m. during the 39 school weeks and one week of holiday care.
