The University Service of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (SUPEA) of the Department of Psychiatry at CHUV is looking for a chief resident with a workload between 80% and 100%, in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy, on a permanent contract, as soon as possible, for its Unit – Mobile Team for Children and Adolescents (EMEA).
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Closely linked with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a major role in care, research, and education.
SUPEA is a cantonal reference service for psychiatric care of children and adolescents. It develops community psychiatry, favoring local outpatient care, while offering hospital care, liaison activities, and day centers, in close collaboration with network partners.
The Mobile Team for Children and Adolescents (EMEA) is a multidisciplinary team intervening directly in the living environments of patients in the Central, West, and North regions of the canton of Vaud. Integrated into the Hospitalizations and Emergencies / Crises (HUC) pathway, it mainly addresses young people in crisis situations, refusing care or placed in socio-educational institutions, with intensive and time-limited interventions aimed at promoting engagement in care.
Mission
- You participate in the clinical management of the unit in collaboration with psychologist and nurse colleagues, under the responsibility of the medical director, the pathway head, and in connection with institutional partners
- You provide psychiatric assessments, therapeutic consultations, and psychotherapies, directly or indirectly, with children and adolescents in their living environments or within SUPEA
- You intervene with patients not yet benefiting from standard psychiatric care, especially in complex or crisis situations
- You support other SUPEA units, particularly those in the HUC pathway
- You ensure coherence of network work and maintain close links with external partners
- You participate in the close clinical supervision of assistant physicians and trainees
- You contribute to the training and research missions of the unit and SUPEA
- You ensure administrative follow-up related to clinical activity and ensure billing complies with institutional rules
- You participate in the on-call duty of the service.
Profile
- You hold a federal medical diploma or a title recognized by MEBEKO
- You have or are in the process of obtaining an FMH title in child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy
- You master French at C1 level for non-native speakers (certificate required)
- You have clinical experience in the care of children and adolescents
- You possess excellent interpersonal skills and appreciate working in a multidisciplinary team
- You have good knowledge of network work and community systems
- You demonstrate scientific curiosity and an interest in the complementarity of theoretical approaches.
