Main umbrella organization in the field of disability in Switzerland, Pro Infirmis and its approximately 1900 collaborators work daily to respect the dignity and inclusion of people with disabilities. The association is particularly committed to their independence, autonomy, and active participation in society. The Social Council aims to promote the social integration and participation of people with disabilities. It involves developing their autonomy by strengthening their own resources and providing them with resources from other services and people. As part of a maternity leave replacement, our Social Council service for the East, West of the canton, and the Lausanne agglomeration is looking for a 

Social Assistant (70%)

Fixed-term contract from October 1, 2025, to May 30, 2026

Your missions

  • Advise, guide, and support people with disabilities, as well as their relatives, from a psycho-social, legal, and financial perspective
  • Mobilize and coordinate the network (environment, specialized institutions, aid and mutual aid services)
  • Defend the interests and rights of people with disabilities
  • Participate in collective tasks and transversal projects.

Your profile

  • Required HES social assistant diploma, or equivalent qualification
  • Good knowledge of social insurances, as well as the Vaud educational and medico-social network
  • Organizational skills and listening and communication abilities
  • Writing skills
  • Proficiency in common computer software
  • Ability to work independently and within a team of about fifteen people.
