Specialist in School Social Work at Secondary School 50 - 60%The Kantonsschule Enge Zürich is a short-term gymnasium with the Matura profiles "Economics and Law", "New Languages" and "Philosophy, Pedagogy, Psychology" as well as a commercial secondary school (HMS). In addition, we run an innovative teaching model in the "Akzent Campus" which aims to strengthen students in learning and sets a content focus on sustainability and cooperation. The student body of KEN is characterized by a enriching diversity. With an open and binding school culture, we are a place of work and life for about 1,100 students, 170 teachers, and 30 administrative staff.
As of April 1, 2026, or by agreement, a position as a school social worker is to be filled.
Your tasks
As a specialist in school social work, you advise secondary school students on personal, social, and school-related challenges. You promote their integration into the class and support the school team in recognizing psychosocial problems and initiating early interventions. You contribute your expertise to positively shape participation opportunities and community building at the school. In a two-person school social work team, you will develop a professionally sound and needs-based counseling and support offer at Kantonsschule Enge together with other specialists.
Your profile
You are a committed individual with professional experience in school social work or counseling experience in the youth sector. You are interested in age-typical developmental tasks and related aspects of mental health. With your solution-oriented systemic approach, you can mediate well between different concerns. You have an independent, structured, and reflective way of working and look forward to teamwork. Your communication skills, ability to work in a team, and resilience benefit you both in dealing with various stakeholders and in managing crises.
A formal requirement for application is a bachelor's degree in social work, combined with further training in school social work (CAS) or a comparable field (CAS).
