What you can achieve
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant (inter)national export control laws and regulations (Goods Control Ordinance/Law, War Material Ordinance/Law, US Export Administration Regulations, US International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Foreign Military Sales)
- Ensuring compliance with the Federal Act on Private Security Services Provided Abroad (BPS) as well as reporting BPS-relevant business cases (including company reports) to the competent authorities
- Identifying and assessing risks related to export and import control requirements as well as developing and implementing measures to minimize risks
- Further development and control of foreign trade requirements and guidelines for RUAG MRO Holding AG and its companies, especially RUAG AG
- Communication and exchange with external partners (authorities -> SECO, EDA, BAZG, armasuisse, etc.)
- Evaluation and advice on operational and strategic business cases regarding compliance with export control laws as well as global trade and customs regulations
- Consulting and training (ad hoc, e-learning) for all MRO companies on export control issues (including BPS, human rights and international humanitarian law) and other foreign trade topics
- Review of contract clauses regarding export control and foreign trade
- TAA/MLA/TPT management and communication with US partners
- Support of the operational export control team
- Processing of RUAG internal preliminary inquiries from all MRO companies
- Monitoring of legal changes in the area of foreign trade, their evaluation and implementation in action instructions
- Verification of compliance with legal requirements at the MRO companies
- Preparation / support of audits of group companies in the area of trade compliance
- Creation of trade compliance instructions at the MRO level as well as support for instructions at the company level
- Project support for strategic projects
What you bring
- Completed studies or comparable qualification in the fields of economics, law, international trade
- At least 5 years of professional experience in export control, trade compliance, import/export
- Knowledge in the area of CH/EU/US export control
- Experience in the defense industry is an advantage
- Very good user knowledge of MS Office, SAP GTS is an advantage
- Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
- Structured approach, good communication skills, team player
