About the job
The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. For our Senior Protection unit, we are looking to strengthen our team with a
Clerk Senior Protection 40%
Tasks
- Participation in the Senior Protection unit as a central contact and coordination point for internal and external concerns
- Ensuring low-threshold access to the police and advisory services for seniors, relatives, and third parties
- Referral to further assistance and support services
- Support of internal departments (violence protection, regional, criminal police, etc.) with specific questions in police case processing
- Networking with partner organizations and maintaining the interdisciplinary Senior Protection network; the core task is prevention and improving the protection of seniors from crimes (violence, property offenses, etc.) and neglect
- Participation in the conception of internal/external training and further education including lecturing activities
Profile
- Federal specialist certificate as a police officer or certificate and several years of frontline experience as a police officer
- Swiss citizenship
- Affinity for the topic of senior protection
- Enthusiasm for prevention work
- Team-oriented, collegial, helpful
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
- Reliable, independent, and flexible working style
