ENGAGED, COMPETENT AND NETWORKED THINKING
The Secondary School and Vocational Education Office is the competence and service center for vocational education, high schools, higher vocational education, and continuing education in the canton of Zurich. We support and supervise secondary schools, vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. We are looking to strengthen our team from January 1, 2026, or by arrangement, with an open, committed, and solution-oriented personality as Commissioner Vocational Schools (70-80%).
Your area of responsibility
As Commissioner Vocational Schools, you are the direct contact person for the school management, especially for the principals, and provide support in organizational, personnel, legal, and financial matters and handle the concerns of the schools. You review requests for purchases, conduct discussions and negotiations with various stakeholders, and coordinate their collaboration. You participate in various projects and working groups in vocational education or lead these projects.
Your profile
You have a bachelor's or master's degree, higher vocational education, or an equivalent qualification. Thanks to your extensive life experience and sound knowledge of people, you negotiate confidently and move confidently within the Swiss education system as well as in complex structures. You bring experience in project work or project management and are characterized by initiative, teamwork, and a solution-oriented way of working. You use your pronounced communication skills, both oral and written, appropriately for the target audience and with a good sense of the counterpart. You work independently, find pragmatic solutions in challenging situations, and quickly grasp complex contexts to adapt your actions accordingly.
