The Personnel Office of the Canton of Zurich is responsible for all personnel, labor, and social insurance law issues of the over 30,000 employees of the Canton of Zurich. The Human Resources Management (HRM) department includes a large number of tasks and is part of the Personnel Office. HR consulting, vocational training, employer branding, and case management are the focus of the work.
Our team – your new challenge?
To strengthen our nine-person team, we are looking for a temporary experienced personality for 2 years who competently supports executives and feels comfortable in a complex and dynamic environment.
Embedded in the Finance Directorate, we manage the entire HR life cycle, work closely with various stakeholders, and play a central role in the further development of HR processes.
How can you contribute?
- Advising executives: You are the first point of contact for executives in your area of responsibility and competently advise them on all HR topics along the entire HR life cycle – from personnel planning and salary determination to labor law issues and demanding change and leadership situations.
- Case management and recruitment: In addition to your consulting function, you take on the clarification of complex personnel cases and work closely with internal case management. You independently accompany recruitments for selected demanding positions in cooperation with the recruiting team.
- Rethinking HR: You actively contribute to the further development of our HR processes, participate in projects, and help shape the HR future of the cantonal administration with your expertise.
Who are you?
- Professional competence and experience: You have further training in HR, at least at the level of an HR specialist certificate, and bring several years of experience as an HR Business Partner. You have already worked in complex organizations in your professional life and move confidently in an environment with different stakeholders and clear legal and organizational frameworks.
- Personality with profile: Staying calm, creating clarity, and finding solutions – that is your strength. You trust your abilities, act independently and responsibly, and have a good sense of collaboration.
- Heart and humor: With passion for HR management, empathy, and a good dose of humor, you enrich our team.
