Your tasks<br/><br/>- Summary:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- Responsible for the oversight and management of the Metal’s departments and all manufacturing support functions in a world-class plant operation’s manner. Is responsible for supervising all employees in a timely completion of all work orders to meet quality and efficiency standards, as well as providing a collaborative approach to excellence in safety, process compliance, and operational excellence activities .<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- Primary Responsibilities:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- o Responsible for providing safety leadership within the metal’s team, including development of new safety policies and procedures to support world-class practices.<br/>- <br/>- o Provides strong leadership and mentorship of the metal team by promoting high standards.<br/>- <br/>- o Exhibits strong organizational skills and the ability to sustain.<br/>- <br/>- o Assists in the hiring, training, and supervision of metal staff, providing guidance and fostering a positive, employee-centric work environment.<br/>- <br/>- o Supervises daily work tasks and schedule for department activities.<br/>- <br/>- o Evaluate and disciplines employees as required, according to company policies.<br/>- <br/>- o Promote 5S and good housekeeping practices throughout the department.<br/>- <br/>- o Active participation in the hazardous communication program.<br/>- <br/>- o Investigate and report on all labor variances.<br/>- <br/>- o Adhere and train employees to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Your profile<br/><br/>- Knowledge and Skill Requirement:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- o High School Diploma. Engineering or Industrial degree preferred.<br/>- <br/>- o Prefer 5 years’ experience in the fabrication and assembly of metal products or heavy manufacturing field.<br/>- <br/>- o Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.<br/>- <br/>- o Provides guidance and fosters a positive work environment.<br/>- <br/>- o Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, as well as key stakeholders.<br/>- <br/>- o Strong 5S, housekeeping skills that align with world-class manufacturing programs.<br/>- <br/>- o Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze and make informed decisions.<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- <br/>- <br/>- <br/>- o Understands the principles and tools of Operational Excellence with previous experience preferred.<br/>- <br/>- o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), previous ERP experience preferred.<br/>- <br/>- o Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment.<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- <br/>- Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- o Typical office/factory environment with exposure to ambient temperatures in un-conditioned production areas.<br/>- <br/>- o Exposure to general production machine noise levels.<br/>- <br/>- o Exposure to hazards such as electrical and moving mechanical parts.<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- <br/>- Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:<br/>- <br/>- <br/>- o Must be able to be on the shop floor for a minimum of 50% of the workday.
