Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
As one of the seven main departments of JuWe, the Zurich Remand Prisons (UGZ) operate seven prisons. On the site of the former freight yard in Zurich Aussersihl-Hard, the Zurich West Prison (GZW) was established with the construction of the Police and Justice Center Zurich (PJZ). The prison offers around 240 detention places for remand and security detention as well as provisional arrest and is managed by a team of around 230 employees.
As of January 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a committed and organized person to strengthen our five-member staff team.

This is your area of responsibility
- You check creditor invoices and post them correctly according to internal guidelines
- You take over the internal billing of services with our service partners
- You process expense reports and ensure their formal correctness
- You competently and solution-orientedly answer internal inquiries about expense regulations
- You independently clarify technical questions in close cooperation with the finance department
- You support the staff team with a variety of administrative tasks, from updating documentation and presentations and corresponding filing to preparing documents

- You have completed commercial training as well as initial professional experience in an administrative or accounting environment
- Care, perseverance, and accuracy characterize you: when checking and posting invoices and expenses, you work conscientiously and precisely and ensure compliance with internal guidelines
- You take responsibility for your tasks, work reliably, and meet deadlines, even in time-critical processes and intense work phases
- With your communication skills and service orientation, you appear friendly, clear, and solution-oriented, whether in exchange with internal employees or external partners
- Thanks to your independence and initiative, you skillfully prioritize tasks, keep an overview, and proactively clarify open points
- Teamwork and flexibility are among your strengths: you support the team with commitment, even with changing tasks and short-term requirements.
- Confidential handling of sensitive data is a matter of course for you
- Proficient use of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook, rounds off your profile
