The Hotel Uzwil, a leading 4-star business hotel in the heart of Eastern Switzerland, offers 43 modern guest rooms, a restaurant with 80 seats, various lounges with 6 to 12 seats, as well as a large hall with up to 55 seats. The over 45 Uze Apartments and the Hotel Schäfli with 15 stylish guest rooms are also part of Hotel Uzwil. It is centrally located, the train station on the IC route Zurich-St.Gallen is a one-minute walk from the hotel.
For our dedicated team, we are looking for a Head of Service, 100%, to start immediately or by arrangement.
What defines you:
- You are a passionate host personality, have completed training in gastronomy, have several years of solid professional experience as a Head of Service, and have successfully completed training as a vocational trainer. You like to take responsibility, lead your team, and actively promote their development. With great commitment, you also support and accompany our apprentices during their training. You are characterized by your warmth, reliability, flexibility, resilience, organizational talent, as well as your friendly and well-groomed appearance. In addition, you bring a high quality awareness, have excellent German skills, are confident with MS Office programs, and ideally also have English skills.
What you will achieve:
- Responsibility for smooth service with planning, coordination, and control of the quality of processes and hygiene standards
- Overview and coordination of reservations, responsibility for correct daily accounts, as well as oversight of the restaurant's ordering system
- Welcoming and attending to guests, active participation in service, managing your own station
- Motivating and supportive leadership of the service team and apprentices
- Staff deployment planning, creating and controlling duty rosters
- Handling complaint and claim management
