The role serves as a strategic advisor and trusted business partner to senior leaders and key functions, providing risk-based guidance, and practical solutions to complex compliance matters. The position exercises independent judgment in identifying, assessing, and proactively mitigating compliance risks, and plays a critical role in fostering a strong culture of integrity across EPD.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Core Job Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Be a Strategic Advisor</span></b><span>. Act as the strategic advisor for EPD’s Global Marketing and Medical functions, by</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Providing guidance on proposed global commercial programs and medical initiatives, identifying potential compliance issues, analyzing alternatives and working with the Legal department and other functions, as appropriate, to propose adequate and risk measured solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Being the first point of contact for compliance related to EPD’s Global Marketing Head and Chief Medical Officer, including attending and contributing to their staff meetings.</span><span></span></p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Support Division-Wide EPD and Corporate Projects</span></b><span>. Support the</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Development and implementation of division-wide strategic compliance projects and compliance program enhancements.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Implementation and potential customization of corporate compliance initiatives.</span></p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b>Mana</b><b>ge <span>EPD Headquarters’ Compliance Program</span>.</b> <span>Manage, deliver and further develop EPD’s headquarters compliance program, including</span></p><ul><li><p><span>Conducting policy and procedure reviews and updates related to OEC policies and procedures to ensure clarity, applicability and compliance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Developing, delivering and updating OEC’s comprehensive training and communication program for EPD Headquarters and other EPD affiliates, as required.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Planning and delivery impactful ethics & compliance communication to promote ethical culture and awareness.</span></p></li><li><p>Managing compliance audits, including overseeing the fulfillment of auditors‘ requests, acting as liaison between the business and auditors, evaluating and responding to all preliminary findings and recommendations, guiding the business in preparing corrective action to address findings and recommendations, and ensuring timely completion.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Data Analytics Program</span></b><span>. Further expand and develop EPD OEC’s data analytics program, including alignment with OEC’s global data analytics program managed by the corporate data analytics team.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Direct Reports: 1 Compliance Analyst</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Profile Requirements:</span></b></p><p></p><p><b>Education:</b></p><ul><li><p>BA/BS required. CPA, Masters, JD, or equivalent work experience preferred.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Experience:</b></p><ul><li><p>Minimum of 7 years of relevant compliance experience requiring strong collaboration with business and corporate functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs, and finance, ideally in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry</p></li><li><p>Ability to work and thrive in a high velocity environment</p></li><li><p>Strong team player with a proven track record of building impactful networks and navigating the matrix</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to connect the dots</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of compliance related data analytics, data storytelling and the use of compliance related data to take risk-based decisions</p></li><li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills with a strong executive presence and the ability to impactfully interact and collaborate with diverse stakeholders from all levels of the organization.</p></li><li><p>Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of multiple teams</p></li><li><p>Fluent in English</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
