Certified nurses for the Department of Medicine
The Department of Medicine (DM) of the CHUV is looking for certified nurses, with a workload between 60% and 100%.
The starting date is scheduled for March 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, medical research, and education.
The Department of Medicine (DM) is a major pillar of the CHUV's clinical activity and has solid expertise in managing patients with multiple and complex conditions.
Its mission is to provide high-quality care through the commitment of competent professionals in the medical, nursing, medico-technical, and administrative fields.
The DM consists of:
- more than 1,600 employees,
- 550 full-time equivalent nursing staff,
- 13 specialties, including two centers: the Sleep Center and the Obesity Center.
Mission
- You are responsible for identifying, planning, performing, and evaluating nursing care in the preventive, curative, palliative, and educational fields, respecting professional and institutional standards
- You perform delegated medical acts and may, in this context, delegate certain acts dependent on your own role, assuming responsibility for them
- You participate in welcoming patients and their relatives, as well as organizing work, ensuring the smooth running and continuity of unit activities (especially during evening or night shifts)
- You participate in supervising and evaluating students and interns and integrating new employees
- You actively contribute to the interdisciplinary approach to care and promote teamwork.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma or an equivalent qualification, with mandatory Swiss Red Cross recognition for foreign diplomas*
- You have experience in acute care
- You have excellent interpersonal skills, a good sense of contact, and a strong team spirit
- You collaborate easily within a multidisciplinary team
- You demonstrate analytical and synthesis skills, responsibility, good adaptability, and a keen sense of organization
- You master common computer tools
- You master spoken and written French (level C1)
Depending on the profile, the salary class will be 8 or 9.
*Applications must imperatively include the Swiss Red Cross recognition certificate.
