Spiritual Companion within the Nursing Directorate
The Nursing Directorate (DSO) is looking for a Spiritual Companion at a 55% activity rate, with a start date scheduled for May 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Nursing Directorate (DSO) is an essential component of institutional management, ensuring innovative development, coordination, and quality of care within all clinical departments of CHUV.
With more than 5,200 professionals, it brings together nursing and assistance staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, educators, spiritual companions, and volunteers.
The Chaplaincy Service aligns its action with CHUV's triple university mission: care for patients, their relatives, and professionals; teaching and training; research and development. It can notably count on more than twenty spiritual companions. Visit the Chaplaincy web page
The training designed, organized, and provided by the Chaplaincy Service allows the continued development of a spiritual accompaniment model in line with societal and health evolutions, and to train the next generation of spiritual companions, both at CHUV and elsewhere. It also supports the development of caregiving skills to meet the spiritual needs of the population.
