JOB PURPOSE:
The Housekeeping Department is responsible for the maintenance of guest and back office areas in compliance with service quality and is in charge of guest comfort.
The Assistant supports the General Housekeeper in managing the Housekeeping service and must ensure the proper application of all procedures within their department.
He/she supervises various projects and their smooth progress with the Assistant Managers and ensures that each team member has the required training to perform their work under optimal conditions.
He works with his Department Head, the General Housekeeper, as well as with all hotel departments.
He must perform his work according to our company standards, pay attention to guest needs and try to exceed their expectations.
The Assistant must be qualified and experienced in organization and service, demonstrate a very good team spirit, have excellent presentation and good interpersonal skills to lead and manage his team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and supervise the Housekeeping team under his/her own responsibility to offer guests a pleasant, efficient and professional service in accordance with Four Seasons Standards.
Be responsible for the preparation of rooms for VIP guests.
Lead daily briefings with Room Attendants, Team Members and Floor Housekeepers.
Organize the day according to priorities (guest profiles, planning of technical interventions…)
Verify the proper execution of work by his/her team.
Manage the follow-up of guest complaints.
Ensure proper follow-up of floor housekeepers, both in terms of furnishings and technical interventions.
Control and conduct spot checks of deep-cleaned rooms.
Control the cleanliness of storage rooms, offices, corridors and public and common areas of the hotel.
Supervise schedules and Labour Standards according to hotel activity.
Manage the smooth running of the administrative part of the Housekeeping service (budgets, payroll management,)
Conduct recruitment interviews according to Four Seasons Quality Criteria and conduct "Behaviour Based Interviewing".
Participate in team development through personalized follow-up of each team member and by proposing training actions to improve individual performance.
Analyze and evaluate the work of his collaborators and provide annual evaluations within the given deadlines.
Support the integration and training of new employees and assist them in their tasks.
Coordinate the identification of training needs and ensure follow-up.
Lead various projects assigned by the Housekeeping management to improve service and develop each member’s skills.
Communicate new procedures to his teams to ensure consistency in the quality of service delivered to guests.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Upon management request, provide any assistance within the Department or more broadly within the hotel as needed.
Comply with all employee-related provisions: procedures related to uniforms, time controls, hygiene and safety in the company.
Be able to guide guests within the hotel or inform them about the opening hours of all hotel outlets.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- Training in Tourism-Hospitality
- Experience as an Assistant Manager in a Luxury Accommodation Department.
Languages: Fluent French and English.
