The Role:
For our live events department, we are looking for someone who can translate the emotions of a soundtrack into drone choreography while also bringing solid engineering skills to the table. In this role you’ll help create new choreographies for world-class productions such as Eurovision and artists including Celine Dion and Justin Bieber. Beyond the artistic work, you’ll also contribute to the technical backbone: developing new control algorithms, qualifying hardware components, and improving the support tools that keep our global fleet flying reliably.

What you'll do:
The role is two-fold; the position will devote at least 50% of their time to development work on:
- Qualifying and testing drone power unit components (motors, propellers, batteries)
- Developing and testing new onboard control algorithms
- Providing Level 2 and Level 3 support for ongoing shows
- Improving and extending Python-based support tools for our growing global fleet
The other part of the work will be devoted to working on new and ongoing shows, including:
- Collaborating with clients, directors, and creatives to design drone choreographies
- Programming and testing choreographies for new shows in C++
- Traveling on-site to help deliver shows worldwide
What you bring:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Control Systems
- Strong programming skills (C++ ; Python)
- Background in control systems, robotics, or system dynamics
- Creative mindset and ability to discuss artistic concepts with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new topics
- Hands-on attitude and willingness to travel (10–20%)
Additional Plus:
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, motors, batteries, or propellers
- Background in live entertainment, animation, or similar creative fields
