Workshop Manager GTB/MCR/CDC at the Infrastructure Department
To complete its team, the Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate (CIT-S) of the CHUV is looking for a Workshop Manager for Building Technical Management (GTB) / Measurement, Control and Regulation (MCR) / Control Center (CDC), at a rate of 80% to 100%, starting April 1, 2026 or as agreed.
👉 Take the reins of a team of specialists and contribute to strategic technical projects at the heart of a cutting-edge hospital environment.
Context
The Construction, Engineering, Technical and Safety Directorate (CIT-S) of the CHUV has as its main missions the operation, maintenance, construction, engineering, technical assistance and consulting within a large hospital real estate portfolio.
Its missions revolve around three major axes:
- the construction and modernization of infrastructures and technical installations
- the operation and maintenance of technical and biomedical equipment, ensuring the continuity of medical, research and administrative activities
- the protection and safety of property and people.
Within this framework, you contribute to the proper functioning of a complex technical park, including nearly 700 monoblocs, and intervene on critical installations such as pharmaceutical manufacturing areas or operating rooms.
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of care, medical research and training.
Mission
- You manage a team ensuring 24/7 coverage, while working office hours
- You manage, coordinate and organize the GTB/MCR/CDC workshop, composed of about twenty collaborators, with the support of two deputy workshop managers
- You lead technical projects of medium complexity in your field of expertise
- You are the technical reference for Building Technical Management (GTB) and Measurement, Control and Regulation (MCR) installations
- You work closely with engineers in charge of energy performance actions
- You ensure active technological monitoring in your area of expertise
- You work in an environment subject to a Quality Management System.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as an automation technician or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally, you have a master craftsman certificate or higher technical training
- You have solid experience (minimum 5 years) in the operation and maintenance of technical installations
- You have proven experience in personnel management and awareness of energy issues
- You possess good knowledge of hospital technical installations, supervision and measurement systems
- You master the standards, laws and regulations related to technical professions
- You easily use office and professional IT tools.
