Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders and the prevention of recidivism are of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. With 399 places, JVA Pöschwies is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for male offenders. It fulfills a central state function and, according to legal mandate, is responsible for the resocialization of prisoners and the protection of the public.
In the area of Economy & Work, we are looking for an extremely flexible, resilient, and eager-to-learn personality with high social competence to start immediately or by arrangement.
Your tasks
- Co-responsibility for the area of electrical and security technology as well as technical operational safety
- Ensuring smooth plant operation including support, maintenance, and functional checks
- Coordination and supervision of periodic maintenance as well as repairs, restorations, and internal projects
- Central contact person for external companies and ensuring clear information exchange
- Compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and operational provisions within your area of responsibility
- Active participation in daily operations and support of operational processes
- Responsibility for occupational safety and consistent implementation of all safety-related requirements and measures
Your profile
- You have completed training as an electrician or security consultant
- You have experience in the maintenance and repair of technical security & electrical systems
- You have solid knowledge in IT / hardware & network or show willingness to further educate yourself in these areas
- You use the MS Office suite without problems
- You express yourself very well in German both orally and in writing; knowledge of another language is desired
- You feel mentally and physically resilient and on-call duty is compatible with your other commitments
- You have an impeccable reputation, i.e., you have no relevant entries in the criminal or debt register and are at least 30 years old
