Do you want to gain insight into the daily life of a scientist and contribute to the research of mental illnesses in children and adolescents? Then you are exactly right with us!
Our research group at the University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy Bern is looking for an intern to participate in the research project EARLY (Investigating Early Signs and Developmental Course of Personality Disorders in Young People). EARLY is a multicenter longitudinal study investigating the development of personality disorders in children and adolescents aged 6 to 17 years. Children, adolescents, and their parents are surveyed every three years using questionnaires and diagnostic interviews.
The internship is unpaid. You will have the opportunity to write a master's thesis based on empirical data.
Your tasks
- You recruit study participants
- You conduct diagnostic interviews (after appropriate training and under supervision)
- You work closely with clinical staff during recruitment and data collection
- You participate in regular project meetings
Your profile
- You have a completed bachelor's degree in psychology
- You are interested in researching personality disorders in adolescence
- You have very good German skills as well as good English skills
- You enjoy working with adolescents and in an interdisciplinary team
- You are characterized by pronounced reliability, accuracy, organizational talent, flexibility, and a high level of commitment
