Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a passionate individual to join our product team and proactively shape the future of our products. You will be the fundamental link between the technical and business teams, working cross-functionally to guide the product development from the conceptual phase to the launch at our customer locations. A successful candidate is an excellent communicator with hands-on technology experience, willing to take on challenges and responsibilities. The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Sevensense Robotics business in Zürich, Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for: Managing product strategy, launch, roadmap, and design discussions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and feedback. Driving product development efforts for both early-stage and mature products with a strong focus customer on customer needs. Define and execute product strategy and go-to-market plans, guiding product development from initial proof-of-concept through scalable commercialization, ultimately growing from a few pilot units to thousands annually. Influencing daily development, product testing, and system design to ensure optimal user experience. Analyzing industry trends, competition, and collaborating with Sales, Business Development, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and promote products.
Qualifications for the role
- Engineering degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- High-level understanding and hands-on experience with mobile robotic systems, including core algorithmic blocks (estimation, SLAM, 3D perception, planning, and control), middleware (ROS, ROS2 or equivalent), and embedded systems (Linux, networking, hardware interfaces, embedded hardware).
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
- Team player with strong communication skills and experience in dealing with different stakeholders (eg, Engineering Teams, Customers, Sales, Marketing).
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written (customer communication, preparation of product documentation).
- Previous experience in Industrial Automation, Mobile Robotics, Logistics, Material Handling, or the Automotive industry is a plus.
- Hands-on skills in areas such as product lifecycle management, project management, UI/UX, or customer support are a plus.
