Legal & Policy Specialist (m/f/d)

As part of the growing Policy Team, you work together with other authorities on strategic and content-related issues concerning the Too-big-to-Fail regulations and thus actively contribute to improving financial stability.

• Strategic and content-related collaboration in the development of regulatory proposals. Taking on content-related specialist responsibility for sub-areas according to agreement and competencies
• Representation of FINMA in regulatory projects for banks, FMIs, and insurance companies and in cooperation with national and international partner authorities.
• Preparation of decision-making bases and briefing materials for internal FINMA committees
• Participation in international working groups of the Financial Stability Board according to agreement and availability

• University degree preferably in legal and/or economic / business administration fields
• Experience in the financial sector (preferably in the area of Recovery and Resolution or liquidity, capital, or risk management) at banks, insurance companies, financial market infrastructures and/or a public national or international authority
• Strong communication skills: able to convey complex issues simply, understandably, and appropriately for stakeholders both in writing and orally
• Willingness to work project-oriented with different stakeholders.
• Very good German skills (C2) as well as good English skills (C1). Knowledge of another official language is an advantage
