The bone diseases department provides diagnostic and non-surgical therapeutic care for adult patients suffering from bone diseases and phosphocalcic metabolism disorders. It also cares for the geriatric patient population with recurrent falls and/or fractures, or increased fracture risk, for investigations and rehabilitation of issues related to geriatric rehabilitation, post-fracture care, or the "bone diseases" specialty.
Job Description
Thanks to your interpersonal skills, you welcome, inform, and guide patients presenting to the bone diseases department and manage incoming telephone calls.
You organize consultations by managing the doctors' electronic schedules and preparing patient files. After consultations, you independently and promptly type medical reports. If necessary, you schedule additional medical examinations.
While responding to various requests, you successfully and autonomously carry out administrative activities related to your role, such as patient file follow-up, managing mail and email, managing vacation schedules, and organizing medical staff conferences.
You demonstrate proactivity in performing logistical tasks arising from the daily operations of a secretariat, such as ordering supplies, billing notes, and archiving.
Qualifications
You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a commercial employee, a medical secretary diploma, or an equivalent qualification. You have two to three years of confirmed experience in a similar position, ideally within a medical secretariat.
You have excellent command of standard computer tools, notably Word (ECDL Advanced level) and Excel (ECDL Standard level), as well as software used at the University Hospitals of Geneva, such as DPA, DPI, GRECO, and OPALE, along with common application programs.
You have perfect mastery of French, both spoken and written, and proven writing skills. Medical terminology is easily understandable to you. Knowledge of English is an asset.
With a good team spirit, you are capable of working in a shared office with several secretaries.
While having a good sense of organization and priorities, you are autonomous, rigorous, and precise in the tasks assigned to you.
You also have the tools to handle unforeseen events and easily manage stressful situations.
Finally, you demonstrate a strong sense of confidentiality.
