Head of Communication Department 80-90% starting July 1, 2026 or by arrangement

Your tasks:

• Development and implementation of the communication strategy and communication concept
• Management of the municipality's communication channels (print, website, social media, etc.)
• Planning, organizing and conducting media information sessions and press conferences
• Responsible for the production of photos and images for the image database
• Writing and editing sophisticated texts for all areas and authorities
• Responsibility for the municipality's internal and external crisis communication
• Contact point and internal hub for media inquiries
• Practical trainer for apprentices in media technology

Your profile:

• Completed university degree (at least Bachelor) or equivalent training in communication and/or business administration
• Several years of professional experience in the communication industry or journalism
• Knowledge of public relations and corporate communication
• Good administrative knowledge as well as knowledge of political processes
• Good IT skills (MS Office, Adobe Cloud programs and CMI advantageous) and experience with digital media
• Confident German language skills in speaking and writing as well as a good general education
• Service- and solution-oriented
• Enjoyment in training apprentices
