The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Canton of Zurich, the office for the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, is a cantonal competence center that offers professional support in the areas of family/youth and career counseling. The Child and Youth Welfare Center (kjz) is a counseling center for families, parents, adolescents, children, and toddlers and operates based on the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich.
The Child and Youth Welfare Center Dietikon is restructuring the voluntary counseling services and is looking for a department head for consulting immediately or by agreement.
You will take over the management of the current counseling department consisting of the teams "Mothers and Fathers Counseling" and "Parenting Counseling" and you will shape the transformation process including the development of interdisciplinary family counseling for the Dietikon district.
Your tasks
- Professional, organizational, and personnel management of a department with about 8 employees
- Project management of the development of voluntary family counseling
- Expansion of the department to include social work in the voluntary context
- Development of a future-oriented, innovative offer for the future area of voluntary family counseling
- Representation of the department towards internal and external partners
- Public relations work
- Participation in working groups and other committees
Your profile
- Several years of professional experience in family counseling and/or child protection
- Leadership and project experience
- Master’s degree in psychology or university of applied sciences degree in social work or qualification as early childhood counselor HFP
- Further training in counseling
- Strong organizational and conceptual skills
- Understanding of processes in complex organizations and political systems
- High team orientation as well as social and communication skills
- Assertive, resilient, and solution-oriented
