About the job
ELCA Cloud Services is your central point of contact for the entire spectrum of IT infrastructure services, from consulting, architecture, integration, migration to operation and maintenance. For our location in Bern, we are looking for several Linux Engineers who are well versed in Linux servers.
We are looking for several experienced Linux System Engineers to strengthen our team in Bern. You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the operational stability of customer systems. If you have solid knowledge in automation and security standards and enjoy working in an innovative environment, we want you as part of our team!
We offer a flexible employment option that can be realized either directly with us or through an external partner (personnel leasing).
Your task
- You are responsible for the implementation and integration of the selected solutions to meet the requirements of the security network
- You are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Linux operating system solutions
- You are responsible for the development and optimization of automation solutions and processes
- You are responsible for ensuring the availability of IT services in test, integration, and production environments.
- You are responsible for the support, monitoring, and optimization of the assigned IT service as well as the resolution of events, incidents, and problem situations

Your profile
- Technical degree from a university/ETH/FH or practical experience
- Valid certification, SuSE, RedHat or LPIC and/or proof of experience (Debian based)
- You are a Linux guru with real production experience
- Well versed with VMware or Libvirt and you have scripting skills (bash, python)
- Configuration and deployment management tools (Puppet, Ansible) tools and processes for continuous integration (Git, Gitlab)
- Willingness to perform on-call duty and work on-site at the customer
- Fluent in German and English, French is an advantage
