THE POSITION

As a Terminal Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing logistic and transport operations, ensuring efficient stock and fleet utilization, and managing supply sources to meet stock targets. Your role includes overseeing transport decisions, managing third-party logistics, and collaboration with commercial counterparts to minimize costs. You will pay a key role in coordinating supply, demand, and terminal constraints to support operational excellence.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process information about stock, demand, production, fleet, terminal constraints, supply, market structure and margin

• Lead daily optimization meeting(s)

• Optimize Logistics to realize stock targets, optimize margin and fleet utilization

• Decide optimal transport mode, volumes and supply source for execution

• Manage 3rd party loans, supply and stocks

• Make spot transport decisions

• Approve logistics costs in collaboration with commercial counterparts
  

  Your profile - Essential

  knowledge, skills &

  abilities

  • Experience in the transport sector, ideally in the Energy Industry

  • Quick perception, networked thinking and a talent for planning and organising

  • Education in business administration with min. 3 years of work experience
    

    Other essential requirements

    • A commercial great team player, reliable and resilient who enjoys working in a dynamic environment by  interacting with internal and external counterparties

    • Exact, conscientious working methods and a high degree of reliability

    • Calm and considered manner

    • Quick perception, networked thinking and a talent for planning and organising

    • Very good knowledge of German & English, knowledge of French an advantage

    • Experienced in MS-Office
