To complete our legal department, we are looking for an
Compliance Officer and Data Protection Advisor 80-100%
You will take on the following main tasks in this diverse role:
Compliance Management and Governance
- Gradual development and implementation of a compliance management approach (policy framework, whistleblower system, conflicts of interest).
- Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, especially BVG-relevant requirements.
- Maintenance and monitoring of regulatory provisions to avoid conflicts of interest and for transactions with related parties.
Data Protection
- Function as a contact point according to the DSG for internal and external inquiries.
- Consulting and training of employees as well as support with contracts, privacy statements, and processes.
- Coordination of requests from data subjects or authorities.
Prevention and Monitoring
- Conducting spot checks and plausibility checks.
- Documentation of relevant activities and preparation of pragmatic reports to management and audit committee.
Support in preparation for crisis situations and appropriate handling of incidents
- Collaboration on general legal issues, especially at the interfaces between law, compliance, and organization.

Reporting and Collaboration
- Organizationally embedded in the legal department as a staff function reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance.
- Functional reporting primarily to management and audit committee.
- Support for the board of directors and audit as needed.
Your Profile
- University degree in law, business, or comparable education with further training in compliance/data protection.
- Professional experience in law, compliance, data protection, or risk management; knowledge of occupational pensions is an advantage.
- Analytical and structured thinking, high self-organization.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to pragmatically mediate between established structures and new regulatory requirements.
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form.
