Unit Secretary for the Psychiatric Expertise Center
The psychiatric expertise center is offering a position for a unit secretary with an activity rate between 80% and 100%. The starting date is scheduled for January 1, 2026.
Context
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Psychiatry, the expertise center is a clinical unit of the Institute of Forensic Psychiatry of the Department of Psychiatry. It is located on the Cery site in Prilly. Composed of about twenty people (doctors, psychologists, and secretaries), the center responds to mandates for expert assessments of adults and children, ordered by criminal and civil judicial authorities or insurance bodies (disability insurance, other insurances). It also offers forensic psychiatry consulting activities.
Mission
- You manage the follow-up of expert assessments
- Enter, track, and close files
- Update dashboards
- Draft various letters, format reports
- You participate in the various secretarial tasks of the unit
- Manage requests for files or reports from authorities, medical institutions, or private doctors
- Manage billing of experts and co-experts
- Prepare and organize team meetings
- Keep the schedules of experts and co-experts up to date
- You ensure the physical and telephone reception of experts and unit users
- Manage telephone calls
- Welcome and inform experts and other unit users
- You handle appeals against PLAFA (placements for assistance purposes)
- Receive requests, open, track, and close files
- Ensure follow-up of appeal requests
- Update dashboards
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC, or equivalent training, complemented by a legal secretary diploma, an asset
- You have at least 6 years of autonomous secretarial experience
- You have perfect command of French, both spoken and written; knowledge of a foreign language is an asset
- You have advanced skills in office IT tools; knowledge of the Filemaker database is an asset
- You are able to integrate into a multidisciplinary team
- You know how to adapt your communication to the context and demonstrate a spirit of mutual aid and collaboration
- You have a sense of discretion and show rigor and flexibility
- You have a sense of organization and priorities, as well as good analytical and synthesis skills
- You possess knowledge of the structures and functioning of state services and semi-public bodies related to the service's activity and psychiatry.
