Biomedical analysis technicians at the Institute of Pathology
The Institute of Pathology of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP) is looking for two biomedical analysis technicians, at 60% and 80%, to strengthen its histology laboratory.
The starting date is scheduled for January 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of UNIL and EPFL, it holds a reference position in the fields of care, research, and education.
The Institute of Pathology is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, offering biomedical analysis technicians access to the latest diagnostic technologies.
It provides essential clinical activity for the diagnostic and therapeutic orientation of patients and is accredited according to ISO 15189 standard.
Mission
- You perform biomedical analyses necessary for establishing diagnoses and monitoring patients
- You participate in the technical and biomedical validation of results, according to the laboratory's organization
- You contribute to quality system management, as well as to the maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- You participate in medico-technical optimization and development activities
- You collaborate in the training and teaching of staff and students
Profile
- You hold a higher education diploma as a biomedical analysis technician or an equivalent title recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- You ideally have initial professional experience in a pathology laboratory and good knowledge of histology
- You are comfortable with common computer tools and able to learn new software
- You have knowledge in the field of accreditation
- You are a proactive, versatile, conscientious, and dynamic person
- You possess good communication and adaptability skills and appreciate teamwork.
